"The first full-colour picture from the new James Webb Space Telescope has been released - and it doesn't disappoint.

The image is said to be the deepest, most detailed infrared view of the Universe to date, containing the light from galaxies that has taken many billions of years to reach us.

US President Joe Biden was shown the image during a White House briefing.

Further debut pictures from James Webb are due to be released by Nasa in a global presentation on Tuesday." (BBC website)

Pretty amazing stuff, that mankind can still explore the universe whilst farcking up their own planet.
It can see images of billions of years ago. I wonder if it will capture the image of the last time Benteke scored ?

Was that to provide him with some nostalgia from his childhood?

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Just watched the one hour NASA broadcast, appalling, bloody joke presentation, an organisation based on top draw technologies, cannot organise a simple presentation, it is pathetic, but pictures were stunning

"Cox-ey" this morning said, in respect of the brighter galaxies in the image, that we are seeing light that was emitted before the Earth was formed. Some of the less-bright parts of the image capture light that was emitted 13 billion years ago!

With all due respect to Cox-ey, that is just her imagination running wild first thing in the morning. Let's hope she keeps it together for her drive-time show.
