He's rejected Everton. It appears that the Everton offer matched what Chelsea were happy to sell Gallagher for (all per SSN). Apparently he's only interested in either staying at Chelsea or moving to a club with European football. Consequently, he won't want to come to us. Furthermore it is suggested that as much as Newcastle would like him they do have FFP constraints that would make it difficult for them to meet Chelsea's valuation.

Also if he came for 40m he would want at least 150k plus, so what would that do to Guehi, Olise and Eze on 50, 47 and 30 respectively

I really enjoyed watching Conor at Palace but it is time to move in. We can’t afford him or offer what he wants

Gallagher’s don’t come around that often and he fitted perfectly in our team. Put all eggs in one basket and get the deal done. Wages won’t be as high as some are suggesting

We desperately need energy in the midfield, he fits the bill perfectly. What do you mean why?

He means why will the wages not be that high?
In my opinion he will 100% want 150k a week plus. why wouldn't he?

It’s being reported that Everton have bid £45 million for Gallagher.
This is a surprise as I thought they were skint, but I suppose they have sold Gordon.
The bid coincides with the announcement of Dyche as manager.
If true it will blow Palace out of the water as I can’t see us spending £45 million on anyone, and I’m not sure I’d want us to.

Id rather (if we did have that kind of money to spare ) Get Sarr in from Watford for 25 mill and have some change for another half decent player .

Oh I see. Well he’s on about 50k a week at Chelsea, so I’m sure I’m the region of 80k a week would be fine. Seriously this is so important to the future few seasons of our club, get it done. We paid 27 million for Benteke about 6 years ago. 40 million now isn’t obscene. Get Spense on loan at right back, nab Antonio for a small fee and we are laughing.

If true then good luck to him I wouldn't pay more than £25m. AT £45m he will have to be one of the best midfielders in the country if Everton ever want to sell him for a profit.

I think that's why we ducked out of Morgan Gibbs White for Forest to get their money back he is going to have to be outstanding.

I’m with you on this Badger. I don’t think he is worth that sort of money and I’d rather we go and find our own version of him for circa £10-20m. I agree £25m is about the right number.

Despite him looking superb for us early on, his performances tailed off dramatically towards the end of his stay and I’ve seen too many loose performances from him at Chelsea to change my opinion.
