While the world is going bonkers over ONJ's sad demise, we have also lost one of the titans of pop music, a man who was one of the architects of the Motown sound. There's scarcely a Motown song from the 60s and 70s he didn't write or co-write.

Oh dear, another sad loss of an iconic name in music history. The names of songwriters Holland, Dozier and Holland featured on so many great records.

Thanks for giving me 'Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch' - a name I affectionately call my wife.

RIP

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Pie brunch? I just call mine 'The Trout'

As CF & you P.O.G have alluded to, yet another of the iconic people from our youth gone . . . RIP Lamont.

I remember from my youth and the days of 45 vinyls and seeing the names Holland/Dozier/Holland on the label of Motown records. I have just checked out their song writing history and it is even more impressive than I thought. An unbelievable list of hits.

Good to see Eddie and Brian Holland are still with us though.
