GK is very strong (Guaita, Johnstone and Butland)
LB there is cover (Mitchell no 1, and if injured Schlupp can also fill in then)

CB (Guehi and Andersen are the main duo) But Richards and Tomkins can come in when needed.

DM/CM is fine (Doucoure is the stand out, but there is cover in Milivojevic and Hughes.)

Wingers/CAM/Attacking midfielders are more than enough: Zaha, Eze, Olise, Ebiowei, Plange.

Strikers (Edouard and Mateda are more than enough with the creativity of Olise and Eze there will be chances to score)

RB (Ward and Clyne are there) But since AWB it does seem the weakest position. Unless someone like Richards can play there. Palace are missing a RB like Max Aarons or Youcef Atal who played under Vieira in Nice.

I think the test will be when we hit some injuries or suspensions. I am not sure Schlupp is cover enough for left back.

I would like (and every other club) an out and out goal scorer. With JPM, EO and JA as back up.

Plus an attacking midfielder (like Conor) but they are in fairly short supply and possible not within our budget.

Having said all of that, I reckon this must be the strongest squad in the history of the club. Maybe not the strongest team (Wright, Bright etc - 3rd in 1st division) but the strongest squad.

DM built like a brick S***house, Doucoure can go forward as well, had a good run and cross in the Liverpool game, we were told he is a midfielder that has it all and is irreplaceable.

Left back cover for Tyrick, plus a prolific striker.

The role Jeff is currently filling. IMO that is the priority position for the rest of the window

Cover for midfield - like RLC. Doucoure is already doing so much more than anyone else we currently have and if he gets injured...
So I would like RLC working instead of or with Doucoure. That IMHO has been a critical position that's much needed.

Secondly, either Zaha re-invents himself as a prolific specialist striker or we get one, like Mitrovic, an out-and-out goal-scoring beast. Leicester had Vardy, Spurs have Kane, that level.

Personally, I think we are okay everywhere else including LB. Icing on the cake would be another winger.

Obviously we are weak in midfield. If MacArthur can get fit and stay fit it would be less of an issue
If 5-3-2 is a formation then we have Schlupp who is possible instead of Mitchell (who I like a lot in a 4) but at RB I'm not too confident there is anyone to step up to wing back

whoever does the pre transfer confirmation medicals

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I'm not sure if how you conclude that Mateta and Edouard are "more than enough".

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Striker. I don't feel we have a proper poacher since Murray and Johnson

For me Palaces weakest positions are LB, RB and ST. All 3 positions are currently doing a job but in an ideal world I would like upgrades.
