Quite obviously for years now we’ve not had a decent goal scorer, a good old fashioned striker who can actually put the ball in the net on a regular basis. Ala Glen Murray, Andy Johnson, Ian Wright, Dougie Freedman or Clinton Morrison type

Made in Bromley

Major upgrades needed at LB and RB (even though Clyne has started the season well) and striker.

Yep a striker. Someone who has the happy habit of being in the right place at the right time and is cool headed enough to hit the target regularly. Trouble is they seem to come along once a decade.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

We have many weak links.

Really need another 4 players. (maybe 2 of those can be loans)

A striker is not really one of them at this stage we need the service sorting no point having strikers if no good service.

Legs in midfield is very important and need cover for Mitchell these are a must.

I shudder when Milivojevic is introduced into the fray.
Slow, ponderous, gives away a succession of free kicks.

LB by a long way. Diaz goal came from there.

No it didn’t, he received the ball on the right side and scored from the center.

That being said, I thought Mitchell didn’t play well at home against Arsenal.

I would say we only have one strong first teamer in our middle 3 and that’s Dacoure. Schlup isn’t a middle 3 player plus I wouldn’t have him starting. Great squad player to have though. And Eze isn’t good enough to play in a midfield middle 3 as well. Should be a starter but would be better either wide or as a No 10 behind a front man in my opinion. Midfield is definitely our weak spot now that Macca isn’t readily available and Gallagher no longer with us.

Agree with all the posts about the midfield. It's an area where the ball is won and opportunities are created, the striker doesn't do it without a supply. not even the likes of Aguero, Drogba, Mane.
I'd like to think that Vieira, one of the finest midfielders of his era, would have the blueprint for a functional midfield, given that he played in one or two.

Midfield, lots of numbers but lacking in real quality in there.

Holding midfielder - absolute priority to fix this.

Gilberto Silva, Didier Deschamps. Vieira played with both, and both were fundamental to the efficient functioning of their respective sides. Desailly, Emerson, Tommasi are others that spring to mind.
