This is so tough...Going since 1979. Here goes: Gk - Martyn LB - Sansom RM - Hilaire CF - Wright Subs: Speroni, Lombardo, AWB, Fan Zhayi, Ambrose, Jansen, Mabbutt, Salako, Jedi, Murray Could pick 20 more easily! Similar era to you (first game 1977), started my list but it's sooo difficult. Can I play Wilf, Vince, Yannick & Salako in the same team? No? Ah. Haven't been much over the last 25 years so my team is heavily early 80s/early 90s biased. Budgie

Nice to see Jerry Murphy mentioned Class, i always thought Simon Osborn was underrated, Stan Cummins, Ian Evans, Mike Elwiss, Kevin Mabbutt, Rachid Harkouk, Matt Jansen, Dave Madden, were players i look back with fondness, i think the most important player we had at the time was Mickey Droy, who did a fantastic job, my all-time favorite was Andy Gray.
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

I loved Micky Droy, he was massive, nothing used to get passed him, if he didn’t tackle them he just fell on them or took them out

Have we ever had a world class player, i suppose Lombardo, and maybe Brolin (a long time before we got him).
