It's a big worry as we do look weak at the back and very tentative as a team on for periods of play in most games. We do offer a goal threat though, and so no result would surprise me really. There will be no easy games going forward, fingers crossed for the lads.

France is set as the benchmark; but did they not lose to Tunisia? They will not rest key players this time; but all that faff about the depth of the French squad - not this world cup with their injuries. They have Dembele, Mbappe and a better head coach; we have better prep and a MUCH better bench. France will win the first half. We will win the second and the match so long as we clip the French wings (and can survive the last 15 minutes after Walker is sent off).

I have the feeling it will be a 'small margins' game. As to what where and when those small margins will occur is guesswork. You know, apparently there is 'a good feeling in the dressing room', the 'lads' are 'all up for it', according to the 'gaffer', and we just need to 'stick to the game plan', 'do what we do best' and hopefully with 'a bit of luck on our side' we will emerge victorious.
