This is not a racist comment but I was surprised that a player signed from Ireland is black. We must have the highest percentage of black players in the premiership or can someone prove me wrong?

Irish newspapers reporting that Paddy McCarthy went to watch the lad play last week and reported back that he’d like to sign him.

I am not having a go at you Ripley but why does it matter how many black players we have? On the Irish point, there is plenty of young black people that have been born in Ireland in the last 20 years or so.

It doesn’t and such comments simply reflect the fascinations of certain people

There is a very famous statue in Grafton Street in Dublin of one of its most famous sons, albeit from West Bromwich, who was mixed race.

Never good to start a sentence with ‘I’m not a racist but’

I've answered my own question in part. He's qualified to play both for Ireland and Nigeria. He's tall, (6ft 4 ) and very quick, left footed with a blistering shot. Should go straight into our under 21 squad

Paul McGrath is kind of famous, you might have heard of him? And currently they have Michael Obafemi in the national team. It's not that unusual.

There's zero alcohol Guinness now which suits me to a T!

I haven't tried it and to be honest I'm not sure the potential gastro-intestinal Armageddon which can be suffered is worth the risk without the alcoholic benefit.
Always preferred Murphy's anyway but Guinness crisps are fantastic.
