Further into the article it says that the people all had complex medical problems.

It is often cited that people from ethnic backgrounds live a less healthier lifestyle perhaps this is one of the reasons why they have problems giving birth?

One minute we all love the people who work in the NHS and we agree that they should all receive a massive pay rise (provided it's funded by "rich people", of course) and then the next minute they are all racists.

In my experience, the staffing in hospitals - including maternity wards - is significantly more diverse than society in general, so I'd like to know who exactly is being accused of racism here. Presumably it's the evil white NHS managers and Tory politicians, who spend their lives plotting against minorities.

The hidden issue in the UK is more to do with children born with disabilities. And how those are linked to the tradition of Cousin marriage in pakistani/East Asian culture.

That is the taboo. Been some noises made of late about perhaps banning it altogether in the UK as it is becoming a serious issue as the years go on. With the predominance of cousin marriage also linked to far wider societal problems such as corruption.

It is sad, incredibly so, and I believe all that can be done should be done to prevent any casualties in these situations. That shouldn't be too hard a sentiment to sell.

I do find the use of the word 'disparity' rather nefarious though. It is almost as if everything must be compared and if not 100% aligned this suggests that something is wrong and therefore blame must be apportioned and criticism shouted from the rooftops.

In any circumstance where you use the word 'disparity' with regards to race there is an inevitable inference that non-white individuals are victims of some appalling injustice and therefore white people, and racism, are to blame. You then, again very inevitably, get the subjective account of one or two people who of course have complaint and are encouraged to scrutinise every single aspect of their experience from the perspective that they were treated differently on the basis of race.

It's also amazing how the likes of the NHS are often cited as examples within the narrative supporting the need for immigration (to resource the workforce) however quickly turn into a far-right, 'white' dominated evil corporation in circumstances where it fits. As another poster mentioned, and having a currently 34-week pregnant wife myself, the maternity ward and professionals we have spoken to have almost been hand selected by the diversity campaigners and I was under the impression this is pretty much ubiquitous.

This story was on 'Good Morning Britain' this morning, and then the very next story they covered was about a black kid in America who was shot by an old white man. Both stories they pushed the race issue.

As someone has previously posted, the NHS probably has a higher ratio of black employees than the national average, so how do they always come back to the same old tired, easy excuse of racism ?

As for the kid in America, perhaps it was just some nutty/senile old duffer that shot him. Who knows ?

The media have a lot to answer for in stirring up racial hatred in the UK, just so they can be sensationalist and 'right on'.

It's getting tedious, and the frequency of the coverage is diluting any genuine race issues that are out there.

Don't worry race warriors.

We have an Asian leader of England and Scotland, and it won't be long before our politics and institutions are completely controlled by the diaspora of former colonies.

Unfortunately, they won't care about you either. They just want your money and votes as usual.

Itís not hard to read up on blood and gene related babies being prone to disabilities. Ffs print and distribute the articles hmg. Itís not racist. Maybe Muslims donít know
( they really do Iím sure)but Iím also sure their cultural forced choices supersede any sensible discussion !
