This one has been doing the rounds in the background over the last week. There is an interesting sub plot to this as it has been rumoured at about the same time we have been linked with Adi Hutter. Adi Hutter `discovered` Keita when he was Red Bull Salzburg manager signing him from pretty much unknown FC Istres. I cant see him choosing us, but could this be us starting to scout players Hutter says he would like?

On another thread someone was saying that Steve P had posted on twitter that he had never spoken to Adi Hutter & wasnt considering offering him a job, so if that is true (& the only reason that we are being linked) then it would appear that someone is barking up the wrong tree - Originally posted by Mwncisee

Great an other overpaid sick note from Liverpool. Somebody call the treatment room to book his place. No thanks if he was that good Liverpool would be keeping him.

If Baecelona want him, Barcelona will get him Finally, whoever wrote the article hasn't picked up on the fact that Jeff Schlupp's contract has been extended. Another example of sloppy journalism and No I don't want him here either and suspect he may not fit the profile of team player we're looking for.

Keita's an odd one. Agree with all the comments on this thread so not addressing the rumour, but before he came to Liverpool he was seriously highly rated and I recall many thought he'd be the key addition for Klopp turning Liverpool into a team that could win the title. It seems to simply not have happened for him so perhaps he's not suited to the PL? There's obviously a player in there somewhere, albeit a permanently injured one.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Naby Keita (Rumour)' by becky Not sure about this one. At 28 he goes against our current policy of signing younger player although with MacArthur and Milivojevic gone we could do with some experience. I expect he would be after high wages and other teams are more likely to offer home what he wants including European football as well.
