I guess Pat has to be silent, I would like to have heard his side. I recall posting that Roy would still be our manager wheeled out in his bath-chair. Will be interesting to see what SP has up his sleeve, off-hand I can't think of anyone with Roy's knowledge of football and Palace.

'Royball' is an unfair tag on Hodgson, he had players nearing the end of their careers, with Loftus-Cheek Bats and AWB we did play good football. And he does let people express themselves. But defence is the most important thing, looking for goals cannot be at its expense, there is only one exit, the championship.

'Royball' is an unfair tag on Hodgson, he had players nearing the end of their careers, with Loftus-Cheek Bats and AWB we did play good football.

And he does let people express themselves.

But defence is the most important thing, looking for goals cannot be at its expense, there is only one exit, the championship.

By my calculation, it is us, Spurs, Leicester, and Leeds who have interim managers, plus West Ham could sack Moyes. However, given that Leicester and Leeds are currently in the relegation places and West Ham could yet win a European cup, there is a scenario where Spurs are our only real threat. Of course anybody is going to choose them over us but they can only take one manager and with Rodgers and Potter without clubs, plus Slot and Postecoglou possibly options, I just feel as though we're in a good position. We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

I firmly believe if we hadn't made the change we would be thick in this relegation battle. Would love a other year of Roy as with Roy I can sit back and relax with no relegation fears. Is he up to another full year of the premier league rigors tho?
