My striker

I wonder if we can get a 'criminal' XI apart from Edouard i'll add Chris Armstrong to the team(Drug offences). Who else we got?

Shipperley might get a dishonourable shout.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

AWB had a driving charge and I get the feeling Clyne has had the odd run in. Was Luka done for breaking lockdown rules? That's half a team we've got already. We had one fella let off for rape but done in a civil case I believe. I can't remember who, get the feeling it was a bit part Scot but could be wrong. I don't want to libel anyone.

It's different if it's someone who's migrated and has an insular life with their family and does a menial job and goes home each night after 8 hours of minimum wage. He's paid £70,000 a week! You'd expect him to be giving more to the cause. I don't care if there are numerous French-speakers within the squad. There's just no way he can operate to his full potential if there's a language barrier.

I realise there are hundreds of players in this scenario. But others make the effort, and it's surely not too much to ask, when they're paid so much.

I've backed him for virtually the entirety of his time here, based mostly on the 2 goals on his debut. But the reality is, when he plays, he's barely noticed. Hardly gets any chances, doesn't really put himself about. The ONLY caveat I'd give him, is that like Ayew, he would play better in Wilf's position.

He needs to do something different this summer if he is going to improve. I suspect he'll just do what he's always done, and hope it magically falls into place. Which it won't. And then we're stuck with our 2nd highest paid player being unsellable.

I'd seen somewhere that it was closer to 100k a week.

But regardless, agree 100%

He's not a bad footballer, but needs to work out how to impose himself on games.

Edouard had a good game against Leeds and has been somewhat better. However, he's quite big but not physical, he doesn't make runs, he rarely closes down and he always takes one touch too many in the box. In my opinion, he's never going to be a good Premier League striker. He'll be fine in another country without the pressing. He'd likely be a decent player on the continent, or obviously in Scotland. However, we won't be selling him back to Celtic for half a bottle of Buckfast and a Dominos voucher. If we could get a decent fee for him and perhaps Mateta, we'd be just as well off to play a youngster as both are, relatively, crap. However, likely we will buy someone.
Neither Edouard or Mateta offer much in our system. They're the epitome of luxury players who aren't actually any good and have been found out. Although I believe both could be decent in a slower league.

Totally agree. Would be relieved if they both were moved on in the summer. Great that Eze is our top scorer though

Pretty sure Puncheon lived up to his name. I think a belt was involved

In his defence he did probably learn a lot of his English in Glasgow.

Does Nile Ranger count as a Palace player?
