I've never understood why Students are included in these numbers. Foreign students need a visa and once their course has finished need to leave (after a short period depending on the length of the course) or re-apply to stay and work here. The above is also stated in the analysis shown below. Is it because they stay for more than one year?

They clearly knew this was a way in and just didn't care. They're not genuinely looking to cut immigration; they actively increase it while claiming the opposite and will continue to do so.

If they are shown as coming in - are they also shown as leaving when they go - that would provide a balance? Yes but the latest figures are distorted because very few came over during covid. This has been the case for a lot of data, A dip followed by a surge. Then back to normal again.
