Mountbatten came close...

In theory he is head of everything. In practice he is powerless.

Boris Johnson and ‘entitled’ Tory Etonians have damaged Britain, admits former Eton master: ‘I failed’

A former Eton master has lashed out at Boris Johnson and other senior Tories who attended the elite private school – saying they had damaged the “very fabric” of the country.

John Claughton said he had “failed” to educate former pupils such as the former PM, former Commons leader Jacob Rees-Mogg and ex-chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng properly.

He taught Latin and Classical Greek plus cricket and I think that you'll find that Boris is quite well versed in the two former disciplines

The most scary thing on Homesdale politics blog is how someone clearly as bright as Wisbech can be brainwashed into being as one sided as he is and I suppose just doesn’t see it.

He sees it all right, he's just a provocateur.

John Claughton said he had “failed” to educate former pupils such as the former PM, former Commons leader Jacob Rees-Mogg and ex-chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng properly.

The ex-master, at Eton from 1984 to 2001, said in a letter to The Times the school had not done its job in trying to remove the sense of “privilege, entitlement and omniscience” from its star Tory alumni.

“Perhaps its most important mission will be to ensure that its pupils are saved from the sense of privilege, entitlement and omniscience that can produce alumni such as Boris Johnson, Jacob Rees-Mogg, Kwasi Kwarteng and Ben Elliot and thereby damage a country’s very fabric.”

The alumini of Adams School include the anti semite racist you admire so much, different schools, different outcomes

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I can see the other side only too well, but as what I see is prejudice and misinformation I reject it.

What has just happened to Johnson and the damning nature of the report on his conduct reassures me that our democracy remains solid, populism won't succeed and any drift to Trump-like politics not tolerated here.

The truth only has one side. Alternative facts don't exist.

Wisbech, couldn't agree more. Johnson debased every institution and every person he has come to touch. The FACTS are there, delusional to think they represent anything other than and utter condemnation of this serial liar. Provocateur ? Really ??? Good riddance. He is finished.

This is the sort of thing that Jehovah witnesses say when you talk to them "there is only one truth". You are as convinced that you are right as they are. Fanaticism is hard to understand.

If the report barred Sir Keir from the house for 90 days we would now be on p500 of this thread. Interesting evidence of political learning on this Board.

Rees Mogg now attacking the report based on the perceived partiality of the Committee. However if this was so, you ask HH to recuse herself at the time. Boris was then PM and could have raised it. If she refuses, you have a point. You don't wait for the report and then raise the issue.

Also, is that all they have? What about the other members of the Committee? One of them was more right, Brexit & Tory than him.

I am hoping all those supporting his Trump style attack will be shown the door by their constituents next election.

BTW I saw off both parents and my father in law in COVID funerals without a boozy wake as we obeyed the rules.

A major criticism of 'wokeness' is claiming personal truths. What is truth then if it is not simply 'the truth'?

Even the Partygate Inquiry found him to be a liar. Not so jolly and laughable when people were suffering and dying at the decisions he and his 'team' made whilst pi443d off their tlt5.

And yes, any Party might of done the same in Government. After all they're cut from the same cloth.

the point is,..he actually did it. And he still shirks any responsibility. c-unit.
