There is no chance of ASM joining us. Why the hell would he leave a club who is in the Champions League this season? He is on big money too which we wouldnt give him. There is more chance of Roy getting the England job again than we will see ASM in a Palace shirt next season.

There is no chance of ASM joining us. Why the hell would he leave a club who is in the Champions League this season? He is on big money too which we wouldnt give him. There is more chance of Roy getting the England job again than we will see ASM in a Palace shirt next season.

But if they keep signing players and with the locally trained players rule, and as we suspect Eddie Howe doesn’t fancy him, he might not even be in their champions league squad, especially if they are looking to off load him Made in Bromley

From his point of view yes but NOT Newcastle's. They are concerned re FFP and desperately want to strengthen their squad for the CL. BTW, when I started this thread it wasn't that I thought this deal was likely just that I thought it would be great if it did happen. We'd probably never get our money back, he'd pick up a few niggling injuries each season and often his tricks would have no end product...but, still, still I really want us to sign him!

I would also dearly love to see him at Palace. He is such a Palace style player and would be a perfect replacement for Wilf. I don't know what he is on at Newcastle but we are actually good payers so this might not be a sticking point.
