I can’t separate them, I always used to say Ian Wright and he had the perfect foil in Mark Bright. But Wilf was more of a loan player with bags of skill.

Let’s be thankful we have had two of the most exciting players ever at the club that have graced the English game. Our academy will now need to unearth another gem!

I have my opinion and im sticking to it ,. they are both mercenarys Wright slags us off at every opportunity and only saw us as a stepping stone and refers to Arsenal as us and Wilf for me has ruined his rep with all the constant will he wont he throughout the years . im not sad to see him go and i don't want to see him back . They both made it all about them and didn't care how they left the team . my opinion which i am entitled to .

Wilf leaving doesnt hurt but slightly saddens me.
More than any other Palace player in my 60 years of following Palace, no one player has come near to empowering the Palace as much as Wilf has done, nor assisted the club in what has been financially achieved and successfully on the pitch.
Im an old git and no way Wrighty..Johnny Byrne going to W Ham hurt, Peter Taylor moving on... Kenny Samson to the Arse..All were great players and it saddened me to see them go but I am very very clear that none were as exciting and lifted the crowd out of their seats as constantly as Wilf.
This club owes more to him than any other player in the clubs history.Without any doubt.
He deserves to have the new stand( if it ever emerges) named after him.
Despite what others have said, he has shown loyalty for many years in a very finacially and seductive,competive arena/environment.
I wish him the very best and thank him from the bottom of my heart.
