Agreed, i go back to Bloye, Noades, Goldberg, Jordan and Parish
Parish is head and shoulders above any others on the list, its not even debatable.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

The new season is creeping up upon us again and like the last few new seasons my heart is full of dread is this the season that catches up with us and prove all the pundits right that this is the season Crystal Palace Fc go down oh what joy they will have. I really hope we can prove a these doubters wrong again and just to annoy them even more rub salt into their wounds, I would like nothing more with us finishing in the top ten but, to do this we need to be more adventurous in transfers windows why do we always leave thing right to the last minute i know you have to take other considerations into account players demands agents clubs valuations etc. we all take the piss out of Brighton but what they have achieved and the way the club is run is like chalk and cheese compared to CPFC.
I can fully understand the way Steve Parish wants to run the club the way he wants too and is in my opinion a very shrewd business man and chairman but in this league you cannot afford to stand still for a split second nor can you afford to throw cash down the pan with poor signings it’s that fine line success or failure.
The problem is and I believe this is the brunt of most palace supporters is that we don’t seem to be moving along at the pace of other clubs we drag our heels over new signings. I think the new stand is Steve Parish main objective for this club and his legacy for the future. This is great for the club and supporters but foremost we have to stay in this league caution to the wind is fine the Steve parish way but sometimes you have to let go and relax and take a chance.
As for American owners or investment, I’m not sure and I have never been sure about American money nor owners of British football clubs because basically they don’t understand what a football club means to it’s supporters all they thinks about is it’s looks good on their port folio and money return as we have seen with the Glazers.
I believe the reappointment of Roy was in some ways to sway Wilfred Zaha in staying and basically back fired. I have seen some reporters that Roy has now called out Steve to replace the players we have lost I hope that in the next few weeks we get more players in we have been crying out for a striker for the last 4/5/years I hope that is our priority now as we will not be able to rely on Wilf this season.

Wilf was alleged to have stated that he would only stay if the club proved to be ambitious and re-appointing a 100 year old manager ain't that

I hope he’s got nothing to do with us in 12 months time…and that’s being patient.

I read a piece on football newsfrance.com this morning saying that Textor is thinking of walking away from Palace if he doesn't get full control over the transfers , at the moment he has only a 1 in 4 vote and is over ruled every time he want to spend even though he owns 46 percent .

I can't see that being true. I understand that he wants his voice to be heard a little more but I doubt whether he is insisting on full control

I read the same article, I find that strange? But then again Mr Textor is not just a share /owner of one football club I believe it’s 4 at present

I guess as a first step he will lobby to establish a platform where voting rights match up with %age shareholdings.

Yes i agree , he owns nearly half the Club you'd think he would have more than a 1 in 4 vote , but then again we don't want a dictatorship either ! that's what dragged us into trouble in the first place .
