I don’t think. Hellespont will sell, especially to a CL ruval

The sad thing about this, is at 18yo he is younger than most if not all our U21's who can't get into the 1st team squad, yet, here we are possibly taking an 18yo Chelsea academy/new 1st team player on loan. What signal does that send out to our youngsters, what hope is there for progression into the 1st team?

I don't agree with loaning players who are there just to beef up the squad, but someone like Hall looks the real deal. A bit like when got Ashley Cole all those years ago on loan from Arsenal. From what I've seen of the U21s we don't have anyone ready to step up at left-back, plus Hall can play left- and centre-midfield too. In contrast, I wouldn't want us to loan a young centre-back from another PL club as O'Brien looks like he has a chance of making it.

The signal it sends is a demonstration of the quality expected for success. Our U21s have to strive to exceed this, and then progress, or accept they won’t make it and look to lower leagues.

Bit of a strange one. He wont play at LB because Tyrick is Roys 1st choice and he wont play in midfield because Roy will use Doucoure Lerna and his favourite Schlupp, so i cant see him getting a game. We've lost 2 from our starting eleven is Olise goes too and replaced them with benchwarming teenagers unless of course Franca is a sensation.

The only way we should be loaning this player is with an option to buy.we have our own fabulous academy so steve says. Let brighton have their loan players.

From what I’ve seen he’s an upgrade on Mitchell. Mitchell is Roy’s first choice because there is no other options. Once Hall gets an opportunity he’ll keep the short is my prediction. Hall will show how woefully short we’ve been in this area. You can argue about the merits of a Chelsea loan taking the spot of our own homegrown talent, but bottom line you’ve got to be good enough, this requires competition. Iron sharpens Iron

Judging by this video he looks like he could easily match the attacking threat of Mitchell or Schlupp in games :

Useful loan move as he will put pressure on both these players and has PL experience. Chelsea's Academy Player of the Season 2023.

I thought that too, but in a slightly different way.

I'm disappointed that we haven't had a player coming out of the Academy considered good enough to get into the first team.

If any signal is being sent out it's that this is how good you need to be to get into the squad - and that if you are good enough, you will get a chance.
