Don't know anything about this player, but just confirms the fear that either Guehi and/or Andersen will be gone by the window's end.

Your post made me think that what is missing from this thread, and in fact has been missing for some time from similar threads, is a contribution from our South Coast sage, who for years has produced piles of information about players some of us have hardly heard of (for which some other posters have accused him of simply regurgitating what's on Wikipedia). Is it me who has missed something?

Unless Guehi or Andersen are on the move then I can't help but think how much of a ridiculous signing this would be, especially when we are so desperate for at least a half decent striker. Where would this leave Richards too? He must be thinking he's got no chance if this happens.

Richard’s will drop into the Tomkins role when he retires at the end of the season. Richard’s is a younger version who is only ever fit for 3 or 4 games in a row then needs to recover. He’s only ever going to be a squad player.

Not ridiculous at all. It means that when one of Andersen or Guehi go in the next 12 months, which is very likely, we have the ready made replacement and don't need to spend the cash until next summer.

The alternative approach is the Rice one. Get the money in first and then get quoted wildly inflated figures which means you can't replace.

If it works out like that then yeah it sounds like a good idea but would a £24m regular starter be happy sitting on our bench for a year? I suppose if he's being paid enough with the guarantee of 1st team football in year then he might not mind.
Maybe we can play him upfront for a season

Some news reports say Kossounou is coming on loan with an option to buy, while others say it is with an obligation to buy. Can't be both... which is correct?

Useful statistical breakdown of his last season at Leverkusen.

Played CB and RB for them with his most regular starting appearances an playing 90 mins coming in the second half of the season at CB.

Missed about 6 games through the season with injuries and picked up champions league and Europa experience on the way although not always a starter.

Versatility would be useful and looks like he has potential... habit of picking up muscle injuries is rings some alarm bells though!
