Of course. Mind you it was the Rotherham police chief who said it and he might have had a clue.

It describes the person as “John O’Brian” the secretary to the enquiry. Was he also the Rotherham police chief?

Actually there is a lot of sense in what he says, much of it chiming with my own views. Collecting and publishing the ethnic data would kill much of the speculation about the ethnicity of those involved and replace rumour and innuendo with facts.

That said I prefer people to be correctly labelled. These men are criminals. That’s all anyone needs to know.

That's true but the byword was to wait for the official report which doesn't support the staffing shortage hypothesis.

“Revisionism” has a variety of definitions, including disputes within Marxism. Hardly relevant here!

Oxford says this:-

“the theory or practice of revising one's attitude to a previously accepted situation or point of view”

Seems pretty logical and obvious to me!

Pedants may disagree.

I am well aware of these reports and the criticism. The bottom line though, even when individuals have been shown to be at fault, is a lack of resource. Better training, more supervision and better qualified officers would significantly overcome the problems. A poorly paid, unmotivated, badly trained and over stretched workforce is going to result in these outcomes.

Underfunding the police has consequences.

That someone has to look this up and can't understand the meaning via context is slightly embarrassing for them.....though I'm more embarrassed for them as from their opinions it's obvious that embarrassment isn't a particular emotion that they are adequately acquainted with.

It's also shown by admitting their awareness that their views and excuses for these Police had been debunked in official reports yet they still persist in promoting that misinformation on these forums to excuse actions that the service itself has admitted as unacceptable.

No mention of underfunding.

In my personal opinion I believe that's because the real accountability for that inaction is higher than the Police service.

Maybe that's me being a 'conspiracy theorist' again, but it's what I suspect.

If this had been at junior levels and not directed as policy they would throw that staff to the wolves.....as they are doing now with the Met guy over a shooting.

With real power comes no accountability.

He wouldn’t say that though would he, in his position?

I have no need to look anything up. All I did was provide information to correct yet another misrepresentation, of which there are far too many posted here.

Some posters are obsessed with a desire to attack others on a personal level and thereby divert the debate away from the actual subject.

I wonder why?

Because it's far better to admit to systemic failures.

Yeah, simply terrible attacking someone for continually making debunked excuses for a policy that saw thousands of girls raped over decades.....And hasn't stopped nor had anyone held accountable.

Yeah, pure distraction for some malign purpose. I mean what reasonable person could attack such an attitude.

Brand is insignificant bro, not relevant.

Meanwhile, even when we only have allegations.
