After today, there'll be a new Government.
People will have hope in their hearts, and more cash in their pockets. Life will be better for everyone as transport issues get resolved and public services get back to being much more efficient.

just the same shlt, under a different banner. Nothing will change

I disengage, I turn the page.

I'm just glad I've amassed enough savings and investments (through sheer hard work) to rise above it all.

Good luck voters, but just remember, take a PEN with you & don't use one of their pencils.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Today will be a pivotal day in our history.
The Tories have handed the Left the power - almost certainly anyway.
Despite their soft image we have been spared Raynor, Lammy & Co in the lead up because they would have frightened the voters.
They will magically appear tomorrow - snarling and promising to bash the (perceived) rich over the head.
Trouble is that many of those massive taxpayers are disappearing and will not return
Over the next few weeks and months we will see what they really stand for - nothing in my opinion - and we will see the same old s*** with many layers on top.
Money is tight now but will be even more so under Labour.
I actually think that Starmer wants to do the right thing but he will find out very quickly that he will have to do what the hard Left wants or f*** off.
Boundaries will be changed and idealistic 16 year olds will be allowed to vote.
If my lovely old Mum didn't still need me I would be gone myself, because the nest ten years are going to be truly horrible.
Look at Wales and London if you want to see what Labour will do for you - absolutely f*** all except ruin the place - as they always have in the past.
Leopards never change their spots!

Has an analysis been done on the attitudes of the incoming tide of Labour MPs, most of whom will never have been MPs before but probably have been Local Councillors etc. How many come from the Corbyn/Momentum wing and how many from the centre left? Starmer has been pretty ruthless within the old Parliamentary Party but what is he about to have to handle now? If it’s only a noisy handful, no problem, they can be ignored, but if substantial could be disruptive.

I've voted Tory all my life but not tomorrow.

Would vote Reform but they've got no chance (if standing) in my area as labour always win with a large majority of mainly immigrants/migrants.

So instead i'm gonna spoil my paper so at least when they read out the result it may count as 1 spoiled paper and I'll feel like my voice has been heard albeit on a small scale.

Apart from that, get ready for 10 plus years of socialist, woke, lies, lies and damn lies folks!!
(which is much the same as what we've had but just on a larger scale).

I too have voted Conservative all my life and of course will do so again today.

I have been an active member of the Conservative Party for many a year and have campaigned with vim and vigour since the election was announced.

The prospect of a Labour government fills me with utter dread, they are anathema to me, led by a pointless human bollard with net zero charisma who flip-flops akin to a speared eel.

Apropos the 'Shadow Cabinet', outside of HOL I have been consistently critical of several members with much animus directed against them. They have faced shot and shell, fustigation fired at them like wooden balls at a coconut shy.
Only last night in conversation with a kind gentleman I had a fit of conniptions when discussing Labour to the extent that my dear wife suggested I calm down to prevent hypertension as she witnessed that I had become beetroot-gilled.

Today of course I shall continue my efforts in support of my party, I have a rather full and arduous today ahead of me accordingly HOL will be a 'Willo Free' zone, probably much to the delight of the multitudes.

*** Exit Poll Update *** ... In Morrisons, I overheard two pensioners discussing the General Election and "Nigel Garage" in particular. Apparently, he comes across as a very nice man but they won't be voting for his party.

He wouldn't even be discussed in Waitrose. Too common. Riff Raff.

I'm sorry but this is complete nonsense with next to no basis in reality - the idea that this Labour party are remotely left wing, or will have to do what 'the hard left wants' is complete fantasy.

Starmer has spent most of the last few years distancing from the left of the party, he's got rid of nearly all of the Corbyn/Momentum legacy and replaced them with centrists, and his whole campaign has been about winning middle ground voters.

There are plenty of reasons to criticise Starmer; he's proven himself a liar, lacking in principle and who's only priority seems to be winning power.

I've said many times on here; I can only wish Labour were offering up anything half as left-wing as many on here pretend they are.

Noooooooooooo

Not this stupid idea again.

I was an Polling Officer for 20 years there is a good reason why we use pencils. After you have made your selection you fold the ballot paper. What happens if you use ink? Transference.

You vote Labour with your Mont Blanc fountain pen fold the ballot paper and when it is opened there are two crosses on the paper. One you made the other when you folded the paper.

Please use the pencils.
