Not the best circumstances to make your debut, coming on at 4-0 down.
He showed a few nice touches and didn't hide away, even trying a shot on goal from about 30 yards out. He strikes the ball cleanly enough as proved in the couple of corners he took.
Hard to really judge him today as we was already beat when he came on. Deserves to start v Spurs

He did not look out of place or overawed. His control seemed good, quick feet and awareness. So although only a cameo in hopeless circumstances I thought it looked promising.

Likewise David Ozoh. He looks the real deal to me. Strong and aware. He could become a starter in a year from now. Maybe when we lose Doucoure.

JRS is also beginning to look like he will make it, after his nervous start. Not yet ready to be more than an impact sub he could well plug the gap if and when we lose Olise for big money. His ability to create space with trickery and get a shot away will bring a goal before long and that could be the making of him.

Franca looked comfortable, confident, and skilled. Hope to see more of him, and I hope he stays healthy.

(And to hijack... I still say that in any given game, at any given attacking moment, I have more confidence that Rek-Sakyi would score than Mateta or Edouard. Put Jes in their shoes, and I'd bet on Jes ahead of either of them. In the Premier League, against any opponent, never mind that he'd be playing in the center rather than the wing, he just looks like a more skilled footballer. Sure he'd be bodied off the ball more than either of them, but in the long run he'd create a chance and FINISH more often.)

Agree 100%

19 years old came on, looked confident took some really great corners with pace and bend. Decent shot from 30 yards.

Looked more on it than most today.

I look forward to seeing this talented lad progress in the red & blue.

Absolutely. Its a disgrace that Mateta started ahead of JRS or that it took so long to hook him. He had a terrible, terrible game. For all his size he failed to keep the ball. He barely showed.

We haven't seen much of him yet, but if yesterday's cameo is anything to go by, this young lad could be a saviour for our club. He showed more skill, flair, energy and intent than Mateta and Edouard.

Roy, please start him (and JRS) on Friday to show Spurs what the real Crystal Palace can do. Can't wait to see these two line up with Eze and Olise when the Geordies come to Selhurst.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Given that Franca will be a guaranteed starter once settled in, what will the first 11 line up look like? I can't imagine dross like Mateta having any future at the club, so that is one space freed up.

We can hope
But..
I expect JRS and Franca to be replacements for Olise and Eze next season. It's then a question of what the club do with the money they get for Olise and Eze - I don't see much of it being spent on new players.

Cost of Main Stand development up by 50% = asset sales to make it happen.

Why do we have such depressing "supporters". We have been in the Premier league over 10 years now. We are a good London based football club. We are a bigger clubs then most like to admit and also have more money then some fans make out. We don't need to sell and we are a club in a good enough position to hold on to our best players now. We will build a squad around the likes of Johnstone, Anderson, Guehi, Mitchell, Doucoure, Lerma, Olise, Eze, França and Rak-Saki. We are only a decent young right back and a couple of decent strikers away from being a top 6 side.
