It may well be common knowledge in England that you can now access your medical record, if so then apologies but as Scotland isn't making the same change it's passed me by.

Harold Shipman had a very long Record.

and as for Medical-records ? its a shame the dental records for Peter Sutcliffe were not available online. It might have saved a few lives.

I have been able to access all my test results online for several years.

Only last week I had a blood test at 10 am in my local surgery and before 1 pm the same day was advised by text that the results were available to view. The analysis was done in the hospital.

I logged in and found, for the first time in several years, my PSA had gone down.

Getting them this quickly is very reassuring.

Congratulations on your results. Hopefully the count continues to improve.

You see, this is how it happens in Cornwall folks. So backed up with long lists of waiting patients, dying in the corridors of A&E, cancer patients being fobbed off, joint operations being cancelled... Oh hang on... my prostate test gets couriered through special delivery in 3 hours!

Systematically dragged down by the lawmakers

The waiting lists for many procedures are very long here and I have witnessed A & E being so overwhelmed that patients are kept for hours in ambulances because there is no room inside.

It just happens that blood tests are handled very efficiently. They are picked up from the surgeries three times daily then tested and the result entered immediately. Whether automatically or manually I don’t know. Nor do I know if my access to them is nationally available or part of a trial. All I know is that it works and is very welcome.

Thanks.

I won’t know until after at least two more tests but it is probably just a blip, which apparently can happen.

Better this though than an overly high result.

If there's one thing following CPFC teaches it must be to enjoy the wins when they come along!
