Well said.

Torn.

Agree every person who says he is a man fondly remembered. Let's leave it at that. But...

If he were to come back to play his swan song with us, for a moderate wage by EPL standards (he does not need the cash - pay per game?), he promises not to be Billy Big Balls around the dressing room, and he fully understands that the semi-retired Wilf is a bench warmer, then why not.

All fantasy of course, his ego, temperament, fitness and mercenary nature wouldn't allow it. However, can you imagine a fully fit player like him, where the coaches have him body and mind conditioned to wholly focus on the last 15-20 minutes of a match? When he comes on, there isn't a defence in the country that wouldn't shout BRACE BRACE BRACE...

He will no doubt go elsewhere if it's about money.

Why would he be going anywhere? I doubt if there is much demand for him as he is no longer a starter and still on a pretty good wage for his declining ability. He is probably going to win a league title medal and be a squad member for the Champions league next season

I honestly think we miss this attitude in the changing room.

Would love to see Wilf come back, and I'm sure he will one day, but it would be on a social visit ... he won't play for us again.
