It was one of the easiest things to predict last summer that this season under Roy would go this way. He was the hero in that lovely little run of very winnable games he inherited at the end of last season, but surely there was no one out there who thought it would carry on that way this season, was there??

No, not really. I recall a post on here back then along the lines that we can dispense of Ward and Schlupp's services now we've turned the corner. I drily remarked that those two will be the first on Hodgson's team sheet. Anyone expecting anything novel from Roy is surely in la la land.

In my opinion booing anyone on my team is counter productive as it feeds the opponent.

Whilst that is undoubtedly true, I don’t think the 600 or so supporters who had braved the weather and a midweek journey gave a toss about emboldening the opposition. They quite simply showed their displeasure at a typically tame Palace attempt at a cup performance and in particular the way in which the subs gave the impression we were never going to chase the game.

I am no longer able to get to matches so have to make do with a view from my armchair. But I instinctively oppose the idea of showing any negative feelings towards the club that I support, whether in the form of booing or some other physical demonstration.

I sincerely hope that those of you who are lucky enough to be at the Emirates this afternoon will give the players and manager an enthusiastic show of support.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I agree 100% but not only does booing embolden the opposition it also feeds future oppositions into thinking that Crystal Palace are an unhappy club and will falter. You are either a supporter or a fifth columnist the latter type I don't want anywhere near this club.

No he's a clown who has sucked the life and soul out of our team!
If just turning up and parking the bus against any team either home or away is prem football, then give me championship football every week.
Was speaking with a mate who is going today earlier and he said its not even exciting at all to travel away as you know what football and tactics we will get.
He said we have been treading water for seasons now and we are upto our nostrils now.
I have always had a buzz before going to football for over 45 years and now it's a chore, and not 3ven sure if I will watch today, as it's just not worth it.
Football is an entertainment sport and you should go out to win matches, not play for a point at best every week.

What? If the players don't hear the discontent, then they will continue to play the spineless and gutless football, week in week out. Christ a few boos doesn't hurt the players feelings. We are the most tolerant fans in London.
It's taken months of dross for the fans to let the players know our thoughts.
They need to pull their socks up and compete 100%, we don't 3xpect trophies, just a team that give it a go.
Not a lot to ask. If I was s*** as they have been at their job, I would have been sacked.
Footballers are in their own bubble, and honestly care more about their headphones, cars and houses, football is secondary.

Two more games with this dross (Arsenal and Sheff Utd), there must surely be some changes. And we are 2/3 into the transfer window and still no addition. What is really going on?

Thus far, there are only 5 PL teams who made additions in January.
Brentford,Burnley,Luton and Sheff Utd have acquired 1 player each.
Tottenham has acquired 2 players.

What a ridiculous overreaction. The game is supposed to be entertainment. Hodgson's team selection, tactics and comments definitely warrant a negative reaction from people funding his lavish salary with their season tickets
