No point bringing in young players full of promise with Roy’s caution first approach- not to mention reluctance to give youngsters a proper chance (not 15 minutes here and there). I think Broja is exactly what we need and have needed for years - a strong, intelligent striker who can link play and hold the ball up - with the added bonus of being an instinctive goal scorer with a surprising burst of pace. This could turn out to be the best signing since Eze ……bet it won’t happen.

It could be that he will be a great purchase for an incoming manager and will replace either Mateta or Edouard for next season? Even if Hodgson stays until the end of season he will be a purchase well made? Let’s hope if it happens that it isn’t a loan? We just need to stay up. Not sure he would make much difference as it’s the midfield that requires strengthening, especially the spine. And we need Olise and Eze playing together asap.

Some people on here need to use your brain if he keeps up current rate he will easily have 15 goal season which is good. Broja would be too expensive it's typical Chelsea and if Palace did sign him we would be stupid and give Chelsea something like 25% sell on also his wages are not that low.

I still feel he is a prospect being hyped by Chelsea. If he's so good why are they looking for a new striker. He's track record isn't great and I know the argument is that he doesn't get game time but it's still an expensive gamble for an unproven striker.

Not done much at Fulham Armando Broja could give Chelsea a massive revenue boost in the summer window, as Crystal Palace are open to signing the forward but only under the proviso that they will not pay the £50 million asking price set by the Blues. As per journalist Simon Phillips (subscription required), via Football.London, the West Londoners are open to spending £20 million to sign the 22-year-old; however, the Blues could demand more after slapping £50 million on his price tag. The Blues academy player is currently on loan to Fulham, where he has barely featured for them, which saw the Cottagers give the West Londoners a £4 million loan fee.
