Oldham closed an eight point gap on us with three wins in the last week of the season all those years ago to send us down, so although I make you right it’s unlikely, those of us of a certain age who were celebrating staying up in the last home game in 1993 won’t be sharing your optimism just yet

Don't remind me. Geoff Thomas missed an absolute sitter against Man City in the penultimate game of the season

Imagine playing Man City and Arsenal away NOW in your last two games and needing two points to stay up!!

Indeed. However, two of them have to do it this time. And the other teams below us in the table. Plus it would involve us going on a run of form that would be so bad that it would, arguably, place Glasner's position under scrutiny.

We've got a tough run but I'd still hope/expect us to take another 5/6 points from our remaining fixtures.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

But you know what the scores going to be now don’t you?

Of course - something worse than 0-3 probably although we have scored in 13 of our last 14 league games.

Everton 2.13
Palace 1.67
Luton 1.3
Brentford 1.22
Burnley 1.1
Forest 1
Sheff utd 0.88

Luton winning was a real kick in the balls, especially as they were 1-0 down.

Its getting tougher to stay up for sure. But I still think its between Luton and Forest.

With our goal difference this is the first time I’ve seriously considered that we may go down this season, the draws against Luton , Forest plus the Bournemouth loss have really scuppered any sense of safety here , the best we can hope for is another 6 point deduction for Everton.

I really think we f it up in the last few games and that will seal our fate

We've won seven league games all season and five of those have been against Sheffield Utd, Burnley and a heavily depleted Brentford despite being in a winning position on numerous occasions.

I don't see a win coming from anywhere. Maybe we can scrape enough draws.

The Telegraph has us finishing on 33 points but staying up with both Forest and Luton finishing beneath us.
They forecast us winning none and drawing 3 games.

Can we shake on this deal now?

I'd agree, our winnable games have now passed us by.

Couple of draws and some luck should do it!

Rubbish. Other than Liverpool we are capable of winning any of the other 6 games. I reckon we get another 10 points.

In a funny way having played Man city and Liverpool next it should have sharpened us up .The remaining teams will not be on the same level and can see us improving and getting the necessary points
