Going back and re-watching the highlights the first goal is a lack of communication between Richards and Mitchell. They are both right next to the player who delivers the cross but neither track him. Not great. The second goal they break and the players who could have done a tactical foul were on bookings, so it's tough. The third goal was just because we were desperately chasing the equaliser so we can ignore that.

In the first half Franca brushes of Caicedo on the edge of our area runs the full length of the pitch but JPM doesn't make the right run and almost gets in his way and it breaks down on the edge of their box. Second half Franca finds space, runs half the length of the pitch and delivers a neat pass to JPM's feet in the box. Hopefully these types of understandings will develop.

We had three new starters in our line-up yesterday, plus we were missing our usual centre-back pairing. Given that we still looked like a team. I think there were reasons to be optimistic last night and it was great to see some new faces making an impression. Lerma, for me, was the real leader and character out there though. He really wore his heart on his sleeve.

There certainly was much more commitment last and as others have said a big improvement on the last game at BH&A. Its was flattering to Chelsea that they won 3-1 and on balance we probably we deserved a point. However we ended up with nothing and we are very much in a dog fight for survival. Going forward from what I have seen last night, unless those key injured players recover quickly I cannot see us surviving this year as we just do not have enough quality. The passing accuracy last night was very poor, especially out of defence at the end we were a very tired team who used energy to mask our lack of skill and game craft. I do hope I'm wrong but with our goal difference and our lack of quality in the final third it just does not look good.

I don't envisage Burnley or Sheff Utd finishing above us in the table.Luton's next 3 games are against Man Utd, Liverpool and Aston Villa. Our home game against Luton on 9th March could be pivotal.

Like many on here, for me last night's performance gave me a glimmer of hope. With GM and EE back for the run-in we should be OK.

Yup, think that’s how many of us felt after last night. Once those players are back we will hopefully stay up. I don’t hold much hope for the Everton game but will need to beat Burnley and Luton in forthcoming home matches going into the Newcastle at home game. Also thought a mistake was made last night by not bringing on Ozoh when Hughes tired. Ahamada isn’t yet strong enough, especially if we are trying to hold on to a result. Hughes will eventually be a good bench player when our players return from injury.
