Gallagher is a very good box-to-box player, but I think his goal celebrations last night were somewhat oickish.

Isn’t there a protocol about not celebrating too vigorously when you score against your former club?

As for jumping into the fans! I don’t suppose the stewards were very happy about that.

Agreed and was my point in an earlier post. No class to celebrate like that after how he was treated here by the palace fans.

But you wouldn’t have him back scoring goals for us though? He was on loan to us and has always been Chelsea. Why should he not celebrate? It’s not as if he relegated us like a real Palace legend did way back when and proceeded to celebrate like he’d won the league.

Chelsea were rubbish first half. Plenty of honest endeavour from us and a great strike from Lerma but ultimately not good enough or sufficient quality over the ninety plus.

We’ve been done in the last minute in our last three home games against them. These points we need are looking really difficult.

After being torn one off for being the only side this year not to have started a player under 21, Palace became the first team to give starting debuts to two players under 20 in the same game this season

Indeed, it is the first time Palace has done this in the Premier League and only the 14th time in EPL history. Brighton, with Buonanotte and Enciso, did it towards the end of last season

Wharton was 20 last week so I think may have just missed out.

I can see why Pullis would want to put his own spin on why he left after the club taking him to court.

Wharton is wonderful, Franca will come good, we have three months of squeaky bum time - hopefully Eze and Guehi will only be out for three weeks or so. Should have kept Vieira - Pulis was on Talksport this morning and without saying it directly it was clear he left because he didn't like Parrish, very flattering about our club and support, but Parrish is very short termist - might put pressure on managers too early, he is often justified when he loses faith with managers, like de Boer, and Roy had it last time round after the 0-7 v Liverpool and the 0-3 v Burnley, the shambolic 0-1 at Villa was Vieira's final nail, but he should have been given time to get over the rough patch - maybe Cooper or Lopetegui could have an instant impact and develop the squad, but there seems to be a bit of a problem with Parrish and his relationship with managers, Big Sam and Holloway would concur.

Yes, Wrighty had a toe injury and could have missed that match, but asked to play and was given an injection - a week before the cup final - he then celebrated the 2nd goal (not scored by him) as if it was the cup final. I still appreciate what he did for us, but that will always disappoint me.

Thought they should have brought on a midfielder instead of Eduoard. He was never going to cover for Mitchell, who hard a hard game trying to keep hold of the left side throughout the game with not enough help from Franca. Might have saved us a point.

Absolutely! Hated him ever since as it was right in front of me and felt personal

I really like the guy, I think if you haven’t scored all season and score two critical goals you might celebrate wildly on your first instinct.

He doesn’t owe us anything and gave so much in his time with us, always speaks well of us.
He didn’t celebrate in front of our home fans directlyso no issue for me

You are correct. My source, Soccerbase, has it as 2nd June - instead of 6th February. Looks like they may have reversed the month and day. If that applies to other players my database could be completely screwed

Anyone know if tonight’s game is on the radio somewhere?
