To be fair, we haven't sold anyone of note for years.

Parish held onto Zaha under pressure from the likes of Arsenal when he could have sold ( admittedly not for his valuation of the player ).

I think Palace need to sell an asset in order to bolster the squad as a whole.

Our most saleable players are Olise, Eze and Guehi, maybe Andersen too. I would expect at least one to leave in the summer.

No club put in official bid for Zaha it was all media speculation.

The issue is if you sell who do you get in to replace and if you go cheap they wont be at the same level something which is not good for us plus still wont be that cheap.

I am hoping with new manager in now he will use the remaining fixtures of this season to take a look at whole squad and he will decide to renew contracts or not (sick of club signing new deals on people who do not contribute)

The feedback does seem to be that we've got a goodun who'll expect major investment. Assurances must have been given.

I do worry Henderson and França might be not worth anything like what we paid , which could hamstring us

dont care for Henderson from last few games but Franca is a punt / work in progress.
think he'll be good.

Here's your '' media speculation '' ;

Palace haven't got unlimited funds.

Nowhere did I say '' go cheap '' but if , as an example, Olise was sold for £70m then it's entirely possible to bring two players in for that amount.

i think realistically, regardless of the div we are in, we will get bids for Olise and Guehi this summer.

Olise has a release clause and his agent is clearly touting him around. The only question mark will be regarding his hamstrings, so it may be dependent on him returning from injury and playing well for the last month or so of the season.

Guehi is clearly looking at the Euros this summer. If he plays and does well it will be difficult to keep him. I think Palace will not want to lose both him and Andersen so maybe if a bid comes for the latter Palace may try and keep him for another year. Clearly when a player wants to leave it is very difficult to keep them. Thus far MG has been a model professional

I actually think while we were all moaning, there was a plan in place, I think it has been accelerated because nobody saw the injury crisis coming and to such an extent.

How else did SP get Olise and Eze to sign on for longer. I think I’m correct in saying the other jewels in our crown are contracted for awhile yet and maybe… just maybe a vision was in place and the players were and still are on board.

This new manager may be the key. If Anderson and MG see progress then they could decide to stay another season. Guaranteed first team football in a side that could be special and moving upwards when all are fit.

I don’t see us as an out and out selling club, we’ve not actually let anybody go that was being sounded out by one of the big boys, look at Olise and Chelsea in the summer.

Obviously this all goes out the window if we don’t make it past this season and go down. But if OG works out then we may be on the cusp of something really special (no I’m not expecting champions league) just better football and not the poor relation in the league with some attacking fast play would do me and maybe a cup (FA, league I don’t mind which).

I reckon Forest may want Henderson at the end of the season for say £10-15m so not too bad.
Franca, well let's see what Glasner does. There may be something there.

Glass brimming over full version is that our board all really wanted Glasner and persuaded him to come by offering him £100m transfer fund over the next year to 18 months to rebuild.
Lets not kid ourselves, our board could do that with their eyes shut if the mood is there.

Has he been sacked yet?

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Glasner is focused, clear sighted and knows what he wants from his players.
This is evident already from his interviews, body language and behaviour.
One of the benefits he brings is that he is looking at the players with a fresh pair of eyes without preconceptions as to their capabilities.
They all start with a clean slate with no favourites and that has to be a motivating factor in itself.
It would be easy to describe the early improvement as 'new manager bounce,' but it looks more fundamental than that too me.
I think we'll be pleased by the improvements in performances in coming weeks.
