I'd say:

Olise
Eze
Doucoure
Guehi

At present, 3 of those are out, hence we are where we are. If all fit, the first names on the team sheet should be:

Olise
Eze
Doucoure
Wharton
Guehi
Munoz
Johnstone.

A striker, winger and LWB in the summer would be lovely. Andersen is sufficient alongside Lerma with Ayew still being an asset for us too and Franca looking promising.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Wouldn't it be fantastic if all them players were fit and still at the club

Olise
Eze
Andersen
Ayew

To me, as I've written on here so many times, Olise is the cream of the crop. His ability on the ball, his incredible vision to play the right pass, short or long, his wand of a left foot shows he has the potential to be of De Bruyne quality - if, God willing, he stays fit. Also to add that he's really improved his defensive abilities which shows a real willingness to learn and improve his game.

Eze has fantastic qualities when on the ball but also with the runs he makes off the ball. Given a free role behind the front line, he can cause havoc. When fit, he has the ability to turn games. Defensively he needs to improve, imo, but when he adds that to his game, he's a diamond.

Andersen, I feel, is a little maligned at times on here. I see him as having a captain's strengths, both by example and his communication to his team mates. He's a fierce, fierce competitor in the true Palace mode. There are times when he wants to do everything for the team, sometimes too much, by getting far forward and attempting to drive his team on. Of course we can add to this his at times devastating passing to the plusses in his game.

Jordan is the ultimate team player and wise old professional. Yes, he can use his professionalism to draw fouls, which must infuriate the opposition fans- good! He holds up the ball remarkably well but at times he is not scared of driving into the heart of the opposition's defence. His best position, imo, is left side of midfield but, whatever, he an essential part of the Palace line-up.

All opinions, but I genuinely struggle to see any of this in Anderson. In fact I'd say the polar opposite.

I think he's a modern day, cultured defender with a great eye for a pass and cracking technique. But he doesn't have that do or die attitude the great defenders have. Often getting outjumped and out muscled. And I struggle to see any leadership qualities (echoed by Roy picking a 23 year old Guehi over him as captain).

Fair do's. If Mr Hodgson doesn't see him as captain material, who am I to argue? I will say, though, that I love the way he is so uncompromising against forwards and shows a real competitive streak.
