....Survive, we will. There are easily three or four clubs in a worse state than us.

However......

- we need to have a major clear-out
- Our injury crisis seems to be perennial, and more to do with Boardroom incompetence than bad-luck.

- Some of our regular starters are just not good enough, for this league.

- Some of our big name heroes are ready for the retirement zimmer frame.
- some of our question-mark kids are ready to be sold off to Charlton or some other League One clubs.

- we need more proven goal-scorers. And a stronger midfield to provide the necessary assist.

- Set Pieces......Monty Python.

2025......any other thoughts ?

Squad is key for me.

We need a couple of good buys, and a couple of good frees. To ensure that when Olise and Eze are injured, decent prem standard players can come in and do a job.

I am not sure this is true. It was the one thing, in recent seasons, that has finally put us on level pegging with the rest of the "13"... until this season that is.

Who are they, the only hope is that Glasner has succeeded everywhere he has been, where Vieira has failed everywhere, fingers crossed.

Depends what you class as failed, I know it can’t be regarded as successful, but his first season with us was one of the most enjoyable since we’ve been up with a cup semi final as well. I know watching every game on TV and not really having to put any time, money or effort into supporting the team might give you a different perspective, but we’ve certainly had a heck of a lot worse

Vieira's first succesful season can be summed up in two words:Connor Gallagher, as simple as that!By the way I'm tired to death in reading all this crap about respected (?) journalists passing on information about where Olise would like to go, who has already made a deal for Guehi, how Eze will fit in the M.Utd eleven, where Andersen is going etc.Let's make the best of what we have got(Wharton, Munoz, Glasner), consolidate our position in the premier and I'm sure that better days will come. COYP!

a certainty is the big-boys trying to rob our best players. Personally, i don't care if they recompense us very generously.

Its the same challenge for us and all the other struggling clubs around us.

What an insulting comment, i went for nearly 30 years, Home and Away, i have earnt my stripes, and put lots of time, money and effort in, i don't think we have had any worse if you take the 120m he had to spend, he was, is and always will be useless, i called for his sacking on Oct 22nd 2022.

Don't think an overhaul is necessary. If we manage to keep the squad together, we've got a very decent team in Johnstone/Andersen/Guehi/Munoz/Doucoure/Wharton/Lerma/Eze/Olise/Ayew. It just needs a bit of bolstering. We could probably say goodbye to Tomkins, Ward, Riederwald...maybe Schlupp. But everyone else can play a role me thinks.

With the greatest of respect the chances of Johnstone,Andersen,Guehi,Eze and Olise all being at the club at the end of the Transfer Window are exceedingly slim.

Johnstone - Something seems precarious about him, more a character thing then anything so maybe.
Andersen - Not going anywhere, nobody will pay a large fee for him
Guehi - We'll only sell if we have to/receive ludicrous offer
Eze - Too individual for the 'big' clubs, I think will stay, has it made here.
Olise - I think he had already planned his next move before signing for us. Almost certainly has the quality to 'go bigger'.

Just my thoughts I wouldn't dare to suggest this will reflect the reality!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

As soon as we are safe - let's hope that is soon - work will begin.
Some players need to leave for sure but I doubt our jewels will go immediately other than Olise if he is fit.
His buyout clause being triggered will see him gone sadly but £80m or so will help us invest in the future.
Dougie needs to stay and unearth a few more nuggets of joy and we will start to have a brighter future!
