City will have to work for the points in their boring style of play. Keeping the ball, playing sideways and backwards till we lose concentration and they score twice.

Hoping this could be true & if it is, Olise & JRS both being fit for the matchday squad will be a welcome fillip, still we'll know come 13.30 in the pre-match presser . . . [Link]

I find them a bit like that too. There is the odd bit of individual brilliance - usually Foden, but they cannot really be called that exciting.
It's really not exciting in the whole premier league when you can just buy a top spot whilst other teams get points deducted. How much do we hear about Man City's charges? Yeah, right.

It's not going to be pretty. Given the XI we'll likely put out, we'd do well to keep it to a narrow defeat. A point would be a monumental result.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

Can’t see any of our remaining games yielding any easy points, we have no chance against City as we could not keep Luton or Bournemouth from scoring , we cannot score goals, therefore any chance of shock win is not going to happen. The battle for 18th is between us and Luton and since we have already gifted them 4 points this season it’s not looking that good!

One tiny spark of hope is that Walker is out. He often saves them with his pace when teams break. Another thing is that sometimes teams struggle to get going with the lunchtime kick-offs. And finally, if somehow we keep them to within one goal of us we will actually have a quality option from the bench for the last 15-20 minutes in Olise.

Glasner made his mark in Germany after a shaky start with a win against Bayern...could this be his time to make a statement? Palace absorb unbelievable pressure, everything goes our way, as City desperately push for the winner we break away in the 90th minute... Eze to Olise to JPM. 1-0 Palace.

Last time we were in dreadful form, wracked with injuries and traveled to City without a hope in Hell.
We drew 2 2.
City hate playing Palace. Pep even (jokingly) admitted as much a year or so ago.
Plus, Palace are renowned for pulling something out the bag when not even the most deluded Palace fan thinks its possible.
I'm going to say 1-1 and I'd be ecstatic with that.

So he only gets 15/20 mins against them? Bit daft.
The reason he is coming on tomorrow for 15/20 mins is so he CAN play more against West Ham and Newcastle. Its called building match fitness.

The only way he would not come on is if, by some supernatural fluke, we are 1-0 up with 15 mins to play.
