I think the one thing SARR will give us (that I don’t think we have) is lightning quick pace.
I remember seeing him play for Watford against Liverpool and thinking “blimey where did they find this lad from”! He has been inconsistent (to say the least) in attaining that level on a regular basis - but to add some balance has suffered from hamstring injuries too. Now that he’s a bit older hopefully the inconsistency is behind him and he’ll benefit from a run of games in a really good team, with an ace Manager.

With Andersen's passing he might be a real asset on the break. As regards his consistency its the old story - if he could do it all the time clubs would be queuing up for him.

Ornstein of the Athletic now reporting that we have a deal in principle with Marseille for €15m and medical will follow.

This is a good signing, at €15m, if we look at it as not a replacement for Olise (Olise, like Zaha before him, is irreplaceable)

Excellent Purchase, when at Watford he was 30m+ player, only 26, 5 year deal, injuries are part and parcel and i think reflected in the price, Sarr, Kamada and Riad are a great purchases for 25/26m GBPs

The problem with whoever we sign to play on the right is that they'll inevitably be compared with Olise. However, given the fee is quoted as £12 million expectations will be fairly modest. I'm very much in the 'wait and see' camp. He's not at Olise's level but that doesn't mean he can't be highly effective if OG gets the best out of him. Hopefully this leaves plenty of money in the kitty to finally get another left-back to compete with Mitchell and possibly another forward too.

I like the signing of Sarr.
He adds genuine pace, which we've needed for a while, and he can play in a number of positions even though predominantly a right sided attacker.
He won't offer Olise's goals and assists, but he's more direct and offers a counter attacking threat.
We also have Kamada who can offer some goals and assists, and Franca who can hopefully show what he's about in his second season.
The odd man out may be Ayew after his notable contribution over a few years.
With Sessegnon departing it could be that Schlupp could still have a role as left sided cover.
