I am not sure what all the fuss is about. He has a bundle of cash, would be embarrassed if we were ever relegated and so would spend money on quality players. He loves his football, and already owns a 7.5% share of Juve (not exactly a laughing stock because of it). I doubt he would get to many league cup games away at Oxford, but that means he would be happy not to interfere. Bring it on, and anyone saying that some things are more important than sport/football/Palace need to watch the play off final again, and address some priorities.

I hope the last posting is true. It makes sense. Somes things transend football and inviting someone like Gadaffi into our lives is something I could not tolerate. Money is far from every thing, success at any price is not worth having. I felt proud of what was achieved last year by the club I support because it was done on so little. If I was a Chelsea supporter I would not feel the same sense of pride. Buying success brings no credit and buying it with tainted money is shameful. Like others here if it by any remote chance it should happen my more than 50 years of support would end.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

They were saying on 5-live this morning that if Gadaffi bought us, we'd be another arsenal... I'm not sure what my view is right now. As distasteful as the man seems, the phrase that comes into my mind at the moment is that no one person is bigger than the club. Besides, he'd own it, not run it - like Abramovich has Kenyon at Chelski. I just don't know if I could desert the club, no matter who owned it. This may be a pathetic moral stance, but I'm just saying how I feel.

If Jordan sells to Gadaffi for reasons that are beneficial to the club then he's just lying. What could further ruin Palace than having a dictatator back at the helm, as someone already said - Noades was/would be bad enough. Just think, every time you go to selhurst, you'll be helping to murder an innocent by-stander.. or 2, lining the pockets of these kidnapping terrorists. As much as I would like to see Palace successful, this is an absolute joke. He could've picked any club in the world, why palace?
