Reading through the coverage in todays Sundays on this story one name appears a few times... step forward our very own media darling, the now, much quoted 'Gordon Law' of the Holmesdale Online!!!! Yay!!!! I think we now know who started this whole ridiculous Gaddafi rumour. Its disgraceful the lengths some people will go to to get their name in print.

i know if gadaffi pours millions into palace then we might win something, but the guy's got blood on his hands. realsitically,looking at the big three even with millions we're only going to win the league cup. sorry but the milk/coca/cola/rumbelows/whatever the hell its now called cup is not worth shaking hands with a guy who puts his opponents through sausage making machines alive (read it on the amnesty website). if you disagree with me, fair enough, but if you want to do something about it, please post a reply

Are you trying to suggest that Penge is to blame for this rumour!! How can you suggest that?? It was in many papaers, on teletext, and your trying to say that Penge started off the rumour when everyone knows Simon Jordan said it!!

This is not to say that SJ will sell the club to him. I think it is just the press needing to have something to print and they heard in on the "grapevine".
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

Gadaffi has been trying to worm his way into English football for years and he wont give up. This is not to say that SJ will sell the club to him. I think it is just the press needing to have something to print and they heard in on the "grapevine". Unfortunately, every man has his price and with many people, it's not as high as you'd think. Anyroad, this is all nonsense; the press putting two and two together and coming up with the usual wrong number, blah-de-blah-de-blah......

It is said to be all speculation anyway so lets try and all forget about it and enjoy the pre-season and look forward to the start of the season. To be honest his track record is not good, this from the Foriegn Office: LIBYAN RELATIONS WITH THE UK The UK broke off diplomatic relations with Libya in 1984 after the murder of WPC Yvonne Fletcher in St James’ Square. Relations deteriorated further following the seizure of the 'Eksund' in 1987 loaded with arms and explosives for the IRA and in November 1991 the Lord Advocate of Scotland issued an arrest warrant for two Libyan officials in connection with the bombing of Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie on 21 December 1988.
