Dont think there are many who will remember the worst goal keepers in Place history. Paul Barron and David Fry. 80's shockers.

Scored 5 goals in 15 games when the ball was constantly flying over his head and Salako was out injured. I think we'd have taken that from Messers Scowcroft and Kuqi this season!

thats a bit harsh, he might not be the greatest player yet but he's certainly not the worst, and ive only been watching palace 10 years or so

Legend as he is Coppell did make some poor signings in his time - even though I was only a kid in the early 90's I still remember Lee Sinnott being absolutely shocking. I could probably name three or four loanees that were poor. I think it was Alan Smith who brought in some shockers.

Ricky Newman anyone? From my experience he got a lot of stick from Palace fans!

Also,speacial mention for Neil 'Son of Brighton' Emblem. Coppell's only true mistake.

benny played well yesterday agaisnt wednesday, hes only 22 and i think hes got a lot of potential, his free kicks have been vital recently
