So did I but they scored again in the last minute. Excellent game though! Well done on beating Hull.

05/09/05 Leon Knight turns up late for training today. McGhee sets up new training method of player meditating. "I watched this program on the Turkish Meditating Channel on Sky, and it says that players that huddle together, and believe in their own inside abilities, can perform miracles on the outside. So I thought, hold on, we play outside". Later that evening, the Brighton and Hove Chronicle prints pictures of Knight stumbling out of All Bar One at 10:42 the previous night, with the recently crowned Miss Brighton, Tamatha Pebbles. 06/09/05 33 year old Richard Carpenter has announced his international retirement from the game. "It's very upsetting but I feel it is time to call it a day on my international career. True, I've never played an international game, but if Mr Erikssonn feels that he needs me, I'll have to say no, as I want to concentrate on getting Brighton into the Premiership". McGhee was delighted with these comments and feels that Brighton will benefit from this. 07/09/05 While England suffered a belly crenching 1-0 defeat to Northern Ireland, McGhee was out watching the reserves bravely struggle to Reading, losing 2-0 in the process. "It's always good to see the boys that will never make the first team. They played well and have kept up the good spirit of this club". 08/09/05 Mark McGhee has thrown his hat in for the England job. Erikssonn was under immense pressure after the disasterous result last night, and McGhee feels he is ready for the next step up. "First thing I would do is give the captaincy to Kerry Mayo. Then I would need to get an understanding between Knight and Rooney.
