As usual, not much quality on a Monday. Clearly the best chance of the day belongs to Beyond Calculation (Bath 4.05) and I may also have a few quid on Colway Ritz (Newcastle 3.15).

Colway Ritz couldn't handle the rain today, and Bath's meeting was abandoned (fog -- couldn't see the furlong pole from the finish!!) before the 4.05 was run. All stakes on today's nap will be returned by the bookie, and winnings on this thread remain the same.

away for a couple of days and all descends on the racing world.

although some things never change, Rock of Gibberish won again, i hate Ferguson

My bet for this week:

4's
Boro to beat Sund
Ham to beat Brom in the West derby
Arse to beat Citeh
Liverpool to beat Scum
ManUre to beat Bolton
Villa to beat Clowns

and of course....
Doncaster to beat Halifax (although draw looks tempting)
probably doubled with Celtic to beat Mothers

Good old Rock of Gibraltar, can always be relied on in the forecast. Lovely. Just like Hawk Wing -- except Hawk Wing is always second. Two nice results for me over the weekend.

Midweek football bets for me are:

Boro win (evens)
Arsenal at ht & ft (4/5)
Southampton win (11/10)
West Ham win (4/6)
Liverpool at ht & ft (8/11)

Away Worthington Cup wins for Brentford (5/4), QPR (evens), Stockport (11/10), Wigan (5/4), Cardiff (4/5) and Wolves (8/15).

Last time you tipped the draw for Doncaster as well, Saxon. I backed the win. Final score was 5-1!

Today's nap to follow, once I've done my bit with a pin and blindfold...

A very difficult day indeed, so I'm going to tip a double. Go figure.

Weqaar and Al Ihtithar in the first two races at Lingfield.

Eagles High has a good chance in the handicap at 4.05, and may be worth an each-way bet.

Oh, you mean Bill. Nah, no chance mate. Now, if it was GEORGE (you know -- Parliament, Funkadelic, the P-Funk Allstars) he'd romp home by 10 lengths at least!

Actually i meant Clinton Woods, super-middle weight boxer from Sheffield. He'd batter his way to victory
