Tony McCoy has a number of good chances at Stratford today. Best I can find is Viera (Lingfield 2.20), Maousse Honor (Stratford 2.30), The Nomad (Sedgefield 1.10). All three won, at 10/11, 10/11 and 11/10. The treble was worth just over 13/2.

Don't call me boy, you foetus... Saxon has gone for Draw/Celtic 7/2, Ipswich draw 11/5, and Leeds/Leeds 5/6. Not sure why he didn't post it -- could it be because he's going to get them all wrong?! I have gone for: Celtic-Blackburn 4 or more goals 2/1 And a double on Draw/Leeds 7/2 and Celtic-Blackburn 2 or 3 goals evens. Edited by halfmanhalfslug (31 Oct 2002 5:12pm)

Got Celtic, Leeds were pathetic, ipswich were outstandind (apparently Least i won half my stake back just with Celtic in my patent!!

My first bets for a while, and they are definite winners (well the first two are anyway). Double on Palace to beat Ipswich and Bristol Rovers to beat Bournemouth gives odds of 21.5 to 1 with Bluesq. I have confidently staked £8.18 on this and look forward to collecting my £175.87 winnings. Eaglesbet (or Bet365) are offering 16 to 1 against Palace winning both halves against Ipswich. Got to be worth a tenner! Finally, it may not happen, but the odds of 9 to 1 that Paddy Power are offering for Southampton to beat Man. Utd. are over-generous.

Just two more: You can get 17 to 2 (again with Eaglesbet/Bet 365) against Palace winning by more than 1 goal on Sunday. (£10 gives £85 profit). And after seeing Hapoel Tel-Aviv's performance against Leeds, I think 200 to 1 offered by William Hill is too good to miss. O.K., so they'll probably go out this round and can't play home legs at home, but 200 to 1? With long shots, you have to take the long term view and be prepared to lose a few.
