I paid off my Student Loan today, precisely 6.8 years after collecting my degree. Thank you Thatcher for privatising Higher Education, thank you the SLC for making my life hell those first few years after graduation and thank you Lloyd's of London for making repayment possible.

I rage and I fume and then after a few days when the visions of Exquisite violence begin to fade from my mind, I stop pondering possible means of tracking down and damaging those that have caused my rage, and return to my chirpy old mild mannered self and then I come out fighting with an incredible depth of worldly wisdom and good old cockney humour; a potent cocktail in anyone's book! Yes Bexter, I did disagree with Pete in another thread. It seems Pete is not happy about others questioning his poor taste in humour... Pete - are you by chance holed up in a militia camp in Essex waiting for UN Soldiers to take control at the world and taking pot-shots at Police helicopters to fill in the time? PS. Cockney's aren't Palace fan's - they support West Ham - and come from East, not South, London.
