A friend of mine is a plumber in the Hove area. He says that nationally, the norm is to have stainless steel chromed bathroom fittings.

However, In Sussex the fashion for shower units is to have the fittings plated in gold.

Brighton fans. What is your fixation for having golden showers ?

A colleague of mine owns a sports shop in Kent, specialising in running shoes. Kent runners normally plump for the all-terrain running soles, rated at S or T.
In recent weeks he has been getting a lot of enquiries from Sussex runners about 'R'- rated running soles.

Brighton fans, why are you so determined to get hold of these R-soles ? Is it for dirt-track use ?

The RSPCA are getting sick of being called to the Withdean. Every home game there are always numerous complaints of illegal Cockfighting in the gents toilets

We've had some Irish builders in this week, doing odd bits around the house. I couldn't help but notice their @rses were hanging out the back of their trousers and they left this afternoon for a weekend on the lash.

Brighton fans, would you be up for the crack ?

Was walking down the street the other day lighting a cigarette. A kid in a Brighton shirt approached me and asked "Can i bum a fag". I told him what he does in his own time is his business just leave me out of it.

I've just been enjoying the athletics from ironically Crystal Palace. The action was highly competitive and thoroughly entertaining.

Brighton fans, if you watched it what was your favourite moment? Seeing Gaymon perform or seeing Dix getting beaten by Gay?

Before watching the athletics I took a leisurely stroll through the city centre. A cruise ship had disembarked and the crew were taking time off enjoying high jinks and larking about outside a pavement bar. They were so rowdy they didn't really look out for passers by like me and they inadvertantly bumped into me.

Brighton fans: How do you deal with a load of seamen in your face?

That incident was probably my own fault though - I was thinking about something I'd read earlier in the day that NASA is launching a new mission that aims to take rock samples from the outer end of our solar system.

Brighton fans: Whats it like to drill into Uranus? Is there a risk of noxious gases being released?

And yet again, you outnumber the opposition, and you let them take you from behind.

I think i see a trend here.

I overheard a bloke today saying he had a most perplexing day. He went to the butchers and took delivery of a firm bratwurst, which he then munched on whilst taking a break from his job at the fudge packing factory. (where's this going I hear you ask?) On his way home he said hello as usual to the gardener who was tending the roses on the hill his house lies on. However, when he got back home he found that someone had illegally constructed a large erection in his back passage! and to top it all, when he made his way round to the rear entrance he found a lorry had smashed his back doors in and shed it's load everywhere!

Brighton fans: Have you ever had a day as queer as this?
