Yeah, only that if there wasn't an Aldi or Lidl on a particular site there'd be another supermarket pitching up there instead, or something else. Aldi and Lidl operate on the most skeleton staff I have ever seen. I went into one and have driven past a couple plenty of times and was impressed by the look of the food (I've only ever tasted a pineapple and it was dry and tasteless), with a limited choice of brands for dried goods. But the supply of staff is a joke. 3 till operators, 4-5 people in each queue. A couple of stackers working their knackers off. You cannot claim it's improving the lives of the community. It might be saving them £10-£15 per week, but that's it.

Again, the profits leave the country, just as the wages of EU workers often do as well. They're very open about it and it's their money to do as they wish, but leave the country it does.

Not criticising anybody who does, but when people say that immigrants are only a benefit and contribute to the country more than they take out, it is not the full picture.

Ideally I would like to still have immigrants but much less, have our youngsters earning wages that will enable them to live in a house and raise 2 kids or more and be able to support our pension system with both more British workers and immigrants, but not keep relying on cheap imported labour. The more we do that, the more we're in that situation because the harder it becomes for British youngsters to have 2 kids or more in a house.

It's long term planning, just as the UK business strategy should be.

a) Have more smaller businesses employ more people than large and distribute income wider. Less people just being 'a number.'

b) Expand our export base which will grow small businesses.

For a start I send the Mrs out to shop with a list or go online to shop.

Tescos/Sainsbury's depending on who has given me the best money off vouchers.

Lidl/Aldi/Morrisons/Asda/Iceland/Co-op are for the peasants.

Waitrose/M&S are for the toffs.

BTW French cheese/wine = over-rated and over-priced.

I think you maybe should give Co-op a try. It's good quality and I think bought all the Somerfield stores in B1,B2,C1 areas to suit their positioning of produce, maybe a takeover as well.

I don't do Tesco anymore. I've noticed more and more the quality and price difference of fresh food compared to Sainsbury's Quality and slightly higher price isn't appealing. But I'd boycott them tomorrow if their every Palace fan agreed to if they insist on blocking any plans to redevelop Selhurst and their own supermarket.

There's a new small shop up in Caterham-on-the hill. When it opened there were was one 45-50 year old mae moron who'd just come out of hiding for years.

I asked last year for him to price check the strawberries were as the price kept changing day on day. Should I buy 1 or 2?

Tut tut, complain, then and apology when the price check was different to the label on the shelf. Then he apologises and I tell him why I'm unhappy, it didn't take him long, it's not inconveniencing him and that I was right that I knew it might be incorrect. I thought he might learn something instead of calling him a tw&t. Another member of staff was nearby. Another time he turned round and kicked the low cupboard door shut beneath the fags when someone had a minor request or gripe. I saw seferal people muttering about him when leaving. He's gone.

Another woman used to pronounce Ciabatta "Key-a-batter." I don't know if there were any complaints but her communication skills were pretty poor. She's gone.

It's all mainly 20 somethings now. I don't know if they're grads or wasted on the career shelf because of the nation's problems.
