We have lost many games by playing open high risk football. SA was trying to get a point it did not work and we should have lost by four. Swansea will be the test of how he wants us to play but until we get a good l/b its going to be tough to get the right balance of attack and defence.

today is a result of BFCS having the players for just over a week, just imagine how far he can "wind the dial back" given months, or even years.

I love your enthusiasm/expectation/hope. But I'd prefer to score a goal of two now and then. That ain't easy with ten defenders and a goalie. That is how we will play now. We got beat today by two goals. Only a couple of teams have done that this season I think, (and we scored in those games too). I like to see football played, not *anti-football*. But if it floats your boat, good for you. Myself, I'd rather us try and score than "park the bus" and lose.

Cant believe everyone is judging the type of football and style that FS is going to adopt after just a week, Lets give the guy the window and at least a month before we start moaning, Put it down a bad day at the office

Never noticed it, but you're right, the Emirates looks like a manor of sorts, concerning tbh.

Wait 'til the Swansea game. Then judge?

Ok. Let's see. This team can score 4 in Wales.....

E: And don't forget Fat Sam's defensive abilities....

I've just got a "Feeling in my water" that Swansea might be a much tougher nut to crack than perhaps many anticipate.

If we had the choice of staying up playing the AP way or the Pulis way I would go for AP but it was not working we found a way to lose most games. Until we get a l/b we are going to find it tough to get the balance of defence and attack right as AT and Wilf are not good at defending.

Manner of what ? A depleted squad away to Arsenal, Sanchez & co with a game at home to Swansea in little over 48 hours.

Jordan Mutch and Fraizer Campbell were on the pitch at the end of the game ffs.

Injuries, fitness and poor morale have followed Pardew around wherever he's been and Allardyce isn't going to fix that in a week.

The worst I've seen in a year was the first half away to West Brom and the writing was on the wall then IMO.

No it's not any concern . We were always going to lose and what else with the players available , and going behind to a lucky / one in a billion chance of a goal, could we have done ?

I know, but we need points. So we sacked him. Now we will play s***e football, score rarely, and still not get points.

Our full backs are not the only problem, but it's a starting point.

The manner of having 10 defenders and 1 goalkeeper. Difficult to score like that. Don't you think? Should we approach a football game thinking we have lost before kick-off? What happened to "top ten", "Europa League" expectations? They seem to have melted away. This board was full of optimism, now everyone seems happy with *anti-football*. I don't get it.
