Leicester fan in peace.

Schlupp is a bit of an enigma, he has the pace and power to cause any team in the league a problem. Unfortunately he doesn't have the brain to turn problems into an end product too often.

He's one of those frustrating players that would be brilliant if they were smarter and more composed.

I'm not sure where you want to play him, defensively he has the attributes to be a top modern full back. But again he lacks the brain to ever truly grasp where he should be positioned. We dropped him and De Laet from full back and we started to keep clean sheets. But we dropped him from being a winger as he didn't create enough.

I think he'd be ideal as a wing back, doing a job at either end of the pitch, but with other people to back him up if he has a brain fart.

It's one of them really that playing regularly and coached well with confidence he could turn out to be a bargain at £10m+.

Or you might not find the right position for him, he doesn't gain confidence and it's a £10m sub on the bench.

Really helpful comment much appreciated. Palace cant afford to spend £10 on a 'bags of ptential' player, who may not deliver: we already have one of those in Townsend!

People get annoyed about inflated prices, but we will be doing the same when trying to off load players. Just the way it is. We just got to hope SA knows what he is doing when it comes to incoming players?? Hard working players over so called flare players is definitely needed.

We are desperate and everybody knows it....we will pay a premium for anybody in this window.

He can be decent at lb and his pace gets him out of trouble when needed, (he has phenomenal pace) but he is naturally a more of an attacking player. Spent his youth career as a forward and had a decent spell on loan at Brentford where he scored for fun. Would be a very useful addition but I'm not sure he is the answer to our defensive frailties at LB - albeit could cover there.
Mind you if we change to a back 3 - LWB would suit him well.

Ask any Leicester fan, they would drive him here with a RR for that bid. A big NO - Brady any given day over Schlupp. Have you guys ever seen him play, seems to be one of those one-tracked fast guys with no football brain...Not what we need at the moment!

Funny, if you ask Norwich fan they'd drive Brady here for that money.

Schlupp has played as striker, as left-winger and at left-back. Jack of all trades master of none type ! Nicky Forster took him on loan when he was manager at Brentford a few years ago.

I would gladly drive Brady from Norwich to Selhurst, he's a class act whatever he's been doing for the Canaries..

According to Wikipedia this master of none "returned from injury and had a strong impact on Leicester City's season, and contributed hugely to Leicester's unlikely title triumph. As a result of his successful season Schlupp was named Leicester's Young Player of the Year for the second year running"

Bottom line is that he would be much better than wev'e got, and if we also signed Brady we would have a massively strengthened left side of the team

I looked it up, he played 24 times last season and was a regular starter until he got injured and was out for about three months. So, he played pretty regularly in their team last season.

He was a regular up until the Arsenal game and he got binned off for the rest of the season. Other than the odd cameo, or covering an injury.

We'd been conceding too many, and getting mullered by them was the last straw and we dropped both full backs.

That's total rubbish and probably edited by his mum. If he was named young player of the year it was because there was literally nobody else in the category as the team is generally full of mid 20's players and older.

The role he played last season was minimal, not to say he's not done a decent enough job in the seasons prior to that. I think he just needs regular football and a manager that believes in him. Pearson found a way to get him in the team... Ranieri has never really fancied him.
