No chance of staying up at all I'm a realist personally don't think we will win another game all season the pride and passion has gone from the club the players are mostly mercenaries waiting for they next pay check they not interested in the club at all remember when we were 3-0 to Liverpool and draw 3-3 this team couldn't wipe their own arses let a known know how to play football

Thing is, on paper we have more than enough quality to stay in this league. What worries me is we are broken. No passion, commitment, drive everything that makes a team. The only chance we've got is if the new players can lift the team and get us over the line OR Big Sam can get into their heads and turn this situation around. It's not a player quality issue it's something much deeper

For me it would need at least 6 points from the next 2 and even then its still a mammoth task.

Be great if we could get more than 6 points!

I long to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief duty to accomplish small tasks as if they were great and noble.

This , I would just love to know what happened between Parish and Pulis.

How good would we be if Pulis had not left ?

No point looking back - what has happened has happened and let's not get into hypothetical situations in terms of "What if".

Strange thing is, if Allardyce wasn't our manager, was still out of work and we had been in our current situation, fans would be saying "We want Allardyce / Get him in" etc etc as he is seen as the perfect man to extricate a club from such a position.

Leicester, Boro and Bournemouth are all looking very vulnerable. Saturday has (thankfully) gone and a good result at Stoke, which I feel is achievable, would see us out of the bottom 3. That's assuming Swansea and Leicester take points off each other - certain... Hull lose at Arsenal - almost certain... and an in form Everton win at Boro... It could all look a lot better in just a week. Throw in the other new boys and we might see a bit of momentum and belief.

Stoke are unbeaten in their last 6 'Home' games but have only won 4 of them.

Fair point about Stoke's home form. But if you look back at our record against them, the last time we lost was Aug 2014. A draw in Dec 2014 and every game since has been a Palace win. Just a feeling...

Another comprehensive defeat for us and it will be hugely damaging not only because of the points situation but to morale and belief. Both Hull and Swansea have seen something of a resurgence, we have not even seen any 'Green shoots' of a recovery at all. After the win at Bournemouth one hoped it would kick-start our season and then we capitulate horribly against Sunderland - even Swansea under Bob Bradley beat Sunderland 3-0, a Sunderland team who hadn't kept a 'Clean sheet' 'Away' from home all season before yesterday's debacle.

I still think we will stay up.

But I think it's highly dependent on how quickly the January signings make an impact.

As a group, the players already on board are shot to pieces. Hopefully the new players will bring a positive approach and get us enough points to stay in the PL.
