yeah, we can all read Sky Sports transfer news.

Yes your right but don't you read your own messages???

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

The fact that we take ages over every single managerial appointment suggests it is us and not managers holding things up.

Just not true.

at the end of the day, if something does not work out with any work related appointment, its the person who made the appointment who is at fault because they simply chose the wrong person in the first place.

I think you are getting stick for this and I don't think its fair.

You are right in the normal world, in that if an individual leaves then it is right for the manager to look at himself and work out why it happened, and take the blame (or, more aptly, learn the lessons that are there to be learned).

However, in senior management positions, and particularly in senior management positions in volatile markets, the position of the organisation in the marketplace changes and so does the requirements of the senior managers therein. Also the ability of that organisation to attract high-quality candidates change and thus when things do not work out it is often for factors that are not to do with poor selection or poor man-management.

You need to look at the picture holistically, and be careful when you apply real world logic to niche businesses like football clubs.

What is going on at our club this time?

I don't know why we would want a manager who nearly got his last team relegated. His role in them becoming champions now has to be in question.

I cannot believe we have taken this long to get a manager but I shouldn't be surprised with the usual dithering.

Frank de Boer and Mauricio Pellegrino are among the names on #SaintsFC's shortlist to replace Claude Puel as manager

Yes, don't dare question Parish after he saved the club in 2010.
At what point does this run out?

I think he needs support running the club. Also I don't fully trust Parish's judgement. This is a man that also hired Burley, Holloway (I know he was in charge when promoted, promotion was more in spite of him than because of him) and Warnock.

He saved the club and we are all very grateful, doesn't mean we can't question him.
Simon Jordan also once saved the club.

That's fine. We'll have one, they can have the other. Works for me.

Many fans agree. That we need a director of football to help Parish out. However the fact that he's never overseen a relegation at Palace. Means he's doing something right. Whether it's luck or judgment.

True and I'm not completely slagging Parish off, he clearly has done a lot of good for club. I just can't stand the whole "we can't question him" contingent purely based on saving the club.
