Acid attacks have never happened at football. Knives were being used in the '80s. Out of order, dangerous and sick really.

Plus snooker balls, darts, bottles of p1ss, coins, bricks, seats.

If Leeds were playing a friendly somewhere.

Big chest and massive boobs

Wasn't there something about Palace supporters either having to remove their boots or laces at a designated spot before they could enter the Goldstone ?

Yep that happened
Some, not all had to remove their boots before going into the ground

Yep it was the first game of the season
Seemed like the whole of Brighton was alive with palace fans
Great day out

A few of us went down there when-manure played them
We stood in the corner taunting the weed fans much to the amusement of the manure fans as our palace scarves were displayed
Weed were trying to climb over the fences to get at us
Great day out

Finally, they had put their 2013 play-offs heartbreak to their arch rivals behind them and kept their composure to finish the job.

Love it! Get that dig in right in the first paragraph.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Can remember the fighting in the park opposite the ground. Before the end of the game the away end would pour out of the ground and into the park. Can rembember a brighton mob with Umbrellas one year, They got run all over the shop.Have to give them credit they always used to be game when we played them. Cant wait to go down there again

The umbrellas had sharpened points and it was us that had them
Clockwork orange take-off

Was deffo Brighton fans in the incident i remember and they did not have sharpened points. Perhaps your confusing this with a James Bomd Movie. These were definatly Brighton fans and because there were so many of us they had it on their toes.

Confusing it with a James bond movie lol
I was wearing DM's
White Brutus jeans rolled up
White Ben Sherman
Blue braces
And a sharpened umbrella

Just goes to show the weed try to copy us in everything

The seagulls chant was them trying to take the piss

How great was it that they changed the name of their pier as it was a constant reminder of us to them

Dolphins did not have much of a ring to it in any of their subdued chants

Mugs then and mugs now

Hope they don't enjoy their stay in the top flight
But it will only be a short stay and they can go on about how they prefer the championship to make them feel better

"Hark now hear the palace sing,
the Brighton run away,
And we will fight for ever more, because of Boxing Day!"
God, I loved those fixtures!!!!!

Not yet as it is only recently that the increase in acid attacks has come to the fore. Lets hope that this cowardly act is stamped out. Twenty five years in jail (full term) the minimum if caught perpetrating it.

We played them in a pre season friendly when we took their end in 73ish, we took the piss for the next couple of seasons against minimal resistance, they only got cocky when Old Bill used to wrap them up, not in our league. Charlton was a better day out and it was always pretty even.

That is wrong about The Palace Pier; the owners changed the name to "Brighton Pier" after the West Pier burnt down and their has been a campaign for years to get the name changed back to the traditional name. I believe it has now changed back to Palace Pier. My memory of those 70s and 80s matches was of lots of low level scuffles and not the carnage and death that others report on here. No one died for God's sake!
