I am pretty well resigned to losing. If we get anything from the game, and that includes scoring a goal in a 4-1 defeat, it will be a bonus. Yes, we have beaten Chelsea before ( 3 times I believe in this spell at the top), but on the previous occasions we were in some kind of form when we met them e.g. last season we had won the previous 3 matches.

I've been placing lay bets on Palace for every league game this season and am (obviously) quids in. My logic in doing so is that if the boys win, I won't care about losing the bet, but when they don't win at least there's some monetary compensation. I will be doing so again today. Last time I looked the price for a lay bet on Palace was 8.2. This means if you stake £10 and Palace lose or draw, you win £10 less commission. If they win, you would lose £72 (I think I've got that right haven't I, Michaela?) It actually surprises me how easy it is to get a lay bet on at all, given that 'the guy on the other side of the deal' is by definition backing Palace to win. Away to Man Utd for example, with half a team - I don't think so!
