I've always liked Ings and Klopp liked him too but can't offer him first team football. If he can stay injury free and get a bit of momentum behind him he could be a good signing. More likely to get goals than any other striker in the Palace team right now anyway.

At the prices quoted this is far too much of a risk to be taking. We have no idea if he'd be able to perform to the levels he was pre injury. The only way I would assume we would pay 20 plus mill is if it was an upfront fee of sub 10 and then the rest based on appearances and survival etc.

Wouldn't touch him for more than £10m up front and £5m in addons. He's had two devasting knee injuries, one on each knee. Knee injuries are by far and away the most common "career changing" injury a player can suffer from, there's no way of knowing how much it's affected him physically or mentally. I'd be happy going into the season with the options we have now, given that Wilf looks to be playing up top on occasion. Better to spend £20m on some more pace on the wings (Traore).
